Interactive ND
Description
The Navigation Display (ND) is the main navigation instrument for the pilots. It provides information for:
- Lateral position in space
- Track/heading
- GS/TAS/Wind
- To waypoint information with ETA, track miles to go
- Flight plan
- Tuned navaids
- Constraints
- Airports
- Navaids
- Waypoints
- Weather and terrain info
- Other messages such as GPS PRIMARY
Modes
Rose LS
Description
The Rose Landing System mode is used during an approach. It shows the following valuable information:
- ILS Course Pointer Magenta
- Localizer Deviation Bar
- Glide Deviation
- Selected ILS Information
- ILS Message
ROSE VOR
Description
The Rose VOR mode is used while navigating via a VOR (VHF omnidirectional range). It shows the following valuable information:
- VOR Course Pointer
- Lateral Deviation Bar
- VOR Information
- VOR or GPS Message
ROSE NAV
Description
The Rose NAV mode shows the same information as the arc mode except it does not have the 90 degree forward facing limit that the ARC mode has.
ARC
Description
PLAN
Description
The Plan mode statistically displays flight plan legs oriented to true north centered on a waypoint. The centered waypoint can be selected by scrolling through the MCDU. It displays the following information:
- Aircraft position and true track
- Map reference point
- Cross track error
